This Online Seminar provides engineers a brief introduction into the topics of “CAD/CAM and Simulation for NC-Code Optimization”. The Content of the Seminar focuses on Simulation and Programming Systems for machining (Milling) available on the market and shows possibilities and limitations with exemplary party within the manufacturing environment.

Content of the Seminar

CAD/CAM Technologies are already widely used in the industrial environment and are used for generating efficient tool machine code (NC-Code). New Developments within the areas of Simulation and Sensorics, as well as constantly increasing computing power, have enabled new ways of optimizing machining processes in the last few years. In reality these software systems and algorithms are only used very broadly caused by the lack of professionals in regards to process analysis.

The offered Online Seminar provides the opportunity for your professionals to see innovative systems in action in a production environment and analyze possibilities/limitations on the basis of demo parts. The focus of the Seminar is on Machining Technologies (Milling).

The course program guides the participants through 3 days with different focuses on the following topics:

  • Basics of machining processes (milling) and machine tools
  • Introduction to CAD/CAM programming, automation and NC-code validation
  • Modern systems for physical evaluation of NC code in CAD/CAM systems
  • Finite element simulation for machining process technologies
  • Modern sensor technology for process monitoring and adaptive control
Benefits for the company

The course content is especially developed for Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineers with basic knowledge in the fields of Milling, Machine tools and CAD/CAM Systems. After the Seminar your Professionals will be able to:

  • Evaluate possible time-savings within the work preparation with CAD/CAM automation approaches
  • Analyze individual machining processes with modern simulation software and demonstrate possible cost savings (e.g. Tooling costs) for your company
  • Evaluate the use of specific sensorics for process analysis and the resulting potential for optimization (e.g. Reduction of tool breakage, increased tool life)
